Preview: Best of the North Shore

Between the two of us, Chaz and I have lived on the North Shore a combined eighteen years (11 for him, 7 for me). At some point during my seven years here, I finally realized that I'd developed a community. I was lucky enough to have most of my closest friends from college stick around the area after we all graduated. Look! Here we are graduating!

Friendships themselves are a huge contribution to having a community. They're the best support network I could ask for, and I'm so grateful for that. But another part of slowly gaining a community is learning the area. It doesn't take too long to learn roads and where to find the grocery store, but it does take a while to figure out what makes a place a home - where are your spots? Where are the best places to eat? Where do you go if you want to spend your Saturday afternoon outside? What's the best place to hide with a chai latte and your book?

One of the things I want to do with this blog is review a whole bunch of places that Chaz and I love. They're places we return to over and over again - some new discoveries, some old ones that we've gone to for years.

First up will be a restaurant, because we like to eat!

This picture was not taken anywhere near the North Shore. In fact, it was taken in Germany. Nevertheless, it illustrates the point.

We're excited to highlight our favorite spots! And if you have any you think we should try, be sure to let us know. We're always on the lookout for a new frequent haunt.
