Hi! I'm Jillian. Here's a picture of me and my husband from approximately five years ago, because we haven't taken family photos in recent history:
Pleased to make your acquaintance!
I find "About Me" sections of any website difficult to write, because you need to come up with some creative, witty, personal, possibly profound description of yourself in a couple of paragraphs. Being a rather average human with a fairly regular life trajectory thus far, I'm not sure I have the perfect hook to be a legitimate blogger. Could I be all of those things? Maybe one at a time, but all at once? That seems like a high calling and remains out of my grasp.
Since I'm giving up on the perfect introductory paragraph right at the outset, let me just tell you about the blog instead. You'll likely find lots and lots of information about my daughter, because #parenthood. I spend the majority of my time with a one year old, and I can only hope that my vocabulary skills haven't declined as a result.
You'll also encounter accounts of various trips and travels, because in my pre-baby life, I did a lot of that for work. These days the trips are a little few and farther between, but when I do travel, it's usually with my husband (Chaz) and baby, which is a whole new ballgame. Actually, traveling with the baby is the curve ball. Traveling with my husband is pretty much the same as it always was. They say that parenthood. changes. everything. But I am here to inform you that some things DO, in fact, remain the same!
Depending on how much I've been pondering life and/or how much sleep I've gotten in the last 24 hours, you might sporadically stumble upon musings about Jesus, marriage, classical music, vegetable growing, or the best places to eat in our little corner of New England. If any of those things strike your fancy, I'm glad you're here!
